Filming Schedule

We will be filming our music video on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd October. We will be filming something different on both days and at different locations.


Schedule: Thursday 22nd October
Getting to the location:

• We will need to get to Lincoln to film. We will get the bus from Bourne to Peterborough and then the train to Lincoln.
• When we get to Lincoln we will walk to the high street.

At the location:

• We will film the actors in the costumes walking around town and also of them going into the fast food restaurants.

Getting back home:

• We will go back to Bourne after filming these shots.
• We will be out for most of the day travelling and filming.

Schedule: Friday 23rd October
Getting to location 1:

• We will start filming at a public field in Haconby. We will travel by car with our parents to get to Haconby and to transport the instruments.

At location 1:

• When we get to the location we will set up the instruments and equipment.
• We will then film a huge range of performance shots.
• The actors will then change into the food costumes and we will record some more performance.
• We will spend at least a couple of hours filming the performance to make sure that we have enough footage and a range of camera angles and shots.

Getting to location 2:

• Our next location will be the football field in Haconby which is next to the other field so we will just walk.

At location 2:

• At the location we will be filming the actors playing football in the food costumes.
• This won't take too long because we are only planning on using it for about 10 seconds, however, we will get more footage just in case.

Getting to location 3:

• Our next location is at Sam Hargrave's house which is in Haconby so we will walk there.

At location 3:

• At the location we will be filming the band members playing the FIFA on the PlayStation in their costumes.
• This also won't take us too long to film but we will get a range of shots.

Getting to location 4:

• Our next location is the Spinney Bridge in Bourne.
• We will get there by car with our parents.

At location 4:

• At the location we will be filming the actors standing around a small fire and the actors walking around town.
• We will be filming at this location at night.
• These shots won't take too long but we will get a range of shots.

We chose to use the guitars, drums and microphone in our music video because Indie Rock promos normally feature a performance by the band which features drums and guitars. We chose the instruments based on what the actual band used for the song, which gives it a more realistic feel to the video.

Furthermore, we chose to use the football and the game controller because they related to our idea for the music video being about living your life. Playing both football and video games are 'normal' day to day activities for young men, so we decided to feature those but add a more fun element to it by playing them in the costumes.

For the 'fun' part of our promo where the band are playing football and doing other normal activities, they are wearing food costumes. These include a pizza, a burger, a hot dog and a packet of chips. We chose these costumes because they relate to the song, 'Junk Food Forever', and we thought that it would make the video funny.

During the performance part of the promo the band will be wearing casual clothes like jeans and jumpers. The actual band wear similar clothing to this, and it also adheres to the typical clothing in Indie Rock promos as they aren't as bothered about the video as they are about the song.

Mise-en-Scene

Lighting
The lighting in the video will be mostly natural as a lot of it will be filmed outside. This is similar to other Indie Rock promos, because they don't usually have a lot of money to spend on a studio or lots of lighting so they use natural light.

We will use better lighting for the performance and any indoor shots as it will be dark otherwise, but it will also make for some ambient lighting which will create a nice effect. This also adheres to similar promos as the lighting isn't really bright, it is a bit darker. Furthermore, the song is actually about a relationship breakup which, although we will not clearly portray it, the dark lighting will emphasise that sadness during some scenes.

The lead vocalist will be wearing a leather jacket to illustrate the lyrics 'Jackets and leather'. The actual band wear similar clothing to this, and it also adheres to the typical clothing in Indie Rock promos as they aren't as bothered about the video as they are about the song.

Location Scouting

Football Field, Haconby- This is used for when the band members are playing football in the food costumes. 

Sam's House- This is for the scene when they are playing video games whilst wearing the food costumes.

In Bourne Town- This is used when the band are walking through town acting normal.

Pizza Shop, Bourne- This is where one of the food costumes will go to buy food and act normal.

Subway, Peterborough- This is where the band members are going to go intoSubway and order a sandwich. 

Small Stable, Thurlby- This is where we are going to film the performance scenes.
